Objectives

We feel deeply committed to the cause of social inclusion, well-being and personal development through art and sport, so we strongly desire to make the next stage a reality. However, in a context of increasing cultural diversity and social complexity, everyone will agree on the pressing need for youth workers, especially youth workers with fewer options, to find concrete forms of expression, integration into society and development of transversal skills that allow them to explore their place in society. The project idea comes from our aspiration to create friendly inclusive environments where youth workers can engage and find their voice through creative and physical activities. We believe that through art and sport joining forces, we can transcend any barrier, be it cultural, social or personal, bringing integration and building a united community. The objectives of our project are: - Encouraging social inclusion through art and sport: creating environments that make youth workers, especially those from vulnerable situations, happy to learn with joy in other languages of expression: art or sport. - Youth workers within the project come together so that they can improve their skills, familiarise themselves with artistic and sport methodologies and new digital technologies for youth workers and ensure that the offer becomes more suitable for this particular demographic. Undertaking these activities will provide participants with first-hand knowledge on how they could use these tools creatively, for different purposes related to inclusion and well-being. - Developing horizontal skills among youth workers: One of the transversal objectives of this project is to provide youth workers generations with basic skills such as leadership, teamwork, intercultural communication and resilience, which are essential to combat social/personal challenges. - Green contribution to sustainability: We will work to implement sustainable actions during the established activities, by carrying out workshops with recycled materials and organising outdoor activities that raise awareness among youth workers about environmental sustainability. - Creation of an international network for the exchange of good practices: The project will encourage the creation of a peer learning network among participating youth organisations and provide them with a platform to share new good practices in arts/sports-led social inclusion strategies Expected results: - Improved creativity and quality in youth work programmes delivered by participants. - Acquisition of new practical skills, such as the ability to use sports and arts to promote social inclusion. - Creation of new global networks and collaborations between partner organisations and youth workers. - Dissemination of inclusive approaches that participants can use in their workplaces, encouraging the participation of youth workers with fewer opportunities.
