Objectives

The project aims to equip youth workers with practical and innovative tools to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into youth work, making educational activities more effective, inclusive, and aligned with ongoing digital transformations. During the residential training in Bergamo, which will involve 24 youth workers from 6 countries, professionals will directly experiment with generative AI tools: from prompt engineering for text production, to the creation of visual and multimedia content (text-to-image and text-to-video), up to applications for the personalization of educational pathways. These technical competences will not be an end in themselves, but oriented to youth work: for instance, to produce educational materials accessible to young people with fewer opportunities, to develop interactive activities based on gamification, or to enhance intercultural communication with young people from migrant backgrounds. Alongside digital competences, the project also aims to strengthen transversal dimensions: creativity, critical thinking, and ethical awareness in the use of technologies. Youth workers will collaborate in groups to develop good practices and concrete cases of AI application, which will be gathered into a collective open-access portfolio, together with methodological guidelines and digital training modules. The impact will not be limited to the training course. Each youth worker will act as a knowledge multiplier, organizing at least two local activities (seminars, workshops, or webinars), reaching a total of around 240 youth workers across the participating countries. In addition, an online awareness campaign and the creation of a European digital community will involve at least 1,000 people among educators, organizations, and institutions, ensuring the dissemination and sustainability of results over time. In this way, the project will not only provide technical competences that can be immediately applied but will also stimulate a lasting transformation in youth work practice, contributing to the innovation and recognition of the sector at the European level.
