Objectives

General Objective The project aims to fill a critical gap in post-rehabilitation support for young people who have acquired a disability due to illness or trauma. After medical rehabilitation, these young people often lack effective support to reintegrate into society. This problem is particularly evident for those who come of age, as they are considered autonomous and no longer receive the support provided in the school environment. The project intends to address this need by training youth workers and sharing best practices to support young people aged 18 to 30. Specific Objectives The project's objectives are directly linked to the identified needs and focus on strengthening the skills of youth workers to: - address psychological and social challenges: sharing the emotional and relational dynamics related to an acquired disability. Youth workers will learn to recognize and manage complex emotions such as a sense of impairment, frustration, and anger, building a sincere relationship of trust with young people; - develop practical support methodologies: sharing practical and non-formal tools for the active reintegration of young people. The goal is to shift the focus from what can no longer be done to what is still possible, using techniques like storytelling to help young people rebuild their identity and find new life paths; - promote inclusion through adapted activities:** sharing inclusive design methodologies for recreational, sports, and cultural activities. Youth workers will learn to use disciplines such as "Tango Campo," music therapy, sport climbing, and adapted laughter yoga to promote the psychophysical well-being and empowerment of young people; - create a lasting professional network: raising awareness among public and private entities through the active sharing of practices and creating a network of European partners to ensure the project's continuity. The objective is for partner associations to be able to implement new specific "active reintegration paths," attracting the attention of new stakeholders and laying the groundwork for future international projects. For the project to be successful and to achieve the objectives listed above, it is necessary to acknowledge the support and collaboration of the "Gli amici di Luca Casa dei Risvegli Luca De Nigris ets" Foundation of Bologna, an international leader in the sector, which acts as an associated partner (see attached letter).
