Objectives

The project “R.E.D. L.E.A.F. – New Methods to comprehend the Role of the Leader” is a Mobility of Youth Workers that will take place from 3rd to 9th October 2026 in Lecce, Puglia, involving 20 participants (of whom 12 have fewer opportunities) and 2 facilitators from Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Turkey. This initiative is aimed at youth workers and seeks to strengthen their skills in facilitating leadership and managing teamwork within youth groups. Through innovative methodologies, practical resources, and training experiences, the project aims to enhance the professional capacities of youth workers, promoting an inclusive, collaborative, and experiential learning approach. During the initiative, participants will take part in workshops, practical laboratories, and international exchange activities based on the R.E.D. L.E.A.F. acronym, with each letter representing a specific competence related to conflict management, group leadership, and team-building (Resilience, Empathy, Decision-making, Leadership Vision, Effective Communication, Analytical Skills, Flexibility). Project Objectives - Improve youth workers’ leadership skills by introducing innovative group dynamics models and practical strategies for effective team management. - Strengthen team-building abilities through experiential activities, collaborative workshops, and non-formal education methods. - Promote the transnational exchange of good practices, fostering cooperation and dialogue among youth workers from different European countries. - Encourage inclusion and participation by equipping youth workers with tools to engage all group members and transform conflicts into opportunities for collective growth. - Develop sustainable resources, such as toolkits, guidelines, and practical exercises, to be integrated into the daily work of youth organisations at local and European levels. - Address a concrete need in the youth work sector: filling the gap in structured tools and practical skills related to leadership, team-building, and systematic sharing of good practices, making youth workers more prepared, resilient, and capable of creating positive and inclusive learning experiences.
