We believe in the importance of the arts in youth work. At the same time, we recognise a widespread need, expressed by youth workers from partner organisations participating in our training course ‘Dance & Creativity as Tools for Youth’: to keep up to date with activities, workshops, group management methodologies and innovative intercultural approaches. This need also stems from the growing number of young people from other countries who move to the contexts of our partnership and who are often among the most vulnerable and with fewer opportunities. The project is designed to meet the needs of many future participants who, in their thirties, have not yet achieved economic stability and are interested in social entrepreneurship as a way of finding new job opportunities in the third sector. TfT (Training for Trainers)-type training courses, with a strong intercultural and European dimension, are rare and often too expensive, making them difficult for our target audience to access. Since its conception, the programme has been designed based on the specific needs of youth workers and partner organisations, with a focus on young beneficiaries (aged 15-25) and particular attention to the inclusion of the most vulnerable: young people with disabilities, migrants, displaced persons, refugees and NEETs. This led to the choice of three main themes: - Creativity, Art & Culture: Many youth workers and young people entrusted to our associations find their main passion in dance, the performing arts and, more generally, creativity. In a context marked by consumerism and precarious job prospects, we consider the arts to be fundamental tools for growth, beauty and well-being. Sharing and learning artistic and cultural practices thus become opportunities for socialising, expression and harmonious individual and collective development. - Quality and Innovation in Youth Work: The needs analysis shared by the partners clearly showed the need for new educational and training methodologies. Updating in a European context allows youth work to be enriched with new ideas and energy. The artistic activities already tried out in the various partnership contexts can be expanded and strengthened through discussion with trainers and peers, generating a broader, more innovative and intercultural training offer. This experience will serve as an incubator for projects and insights that are often shelved, giving them the space to develop. - Entrepreneurial learning - Entrepreneurship education: In a sector where stable contracts are rare and project-based work often prevails, it is essential to acquire social entrepreneurship skills. This allows individuals to restructure their working lives, improve their employment prospects and remain consistent with their ethical values, while reducing the risk of burnout linked to job insecurity. In summary, the objectives of the project are: 1. To strengthen the artistic and educational skills of youth workers, promoting their personal, professional and social growth. 2. To promote, through dance, choreutic and performing arts, positive values such as beauty, solidarity and the common good. 3. To use dance, choreutic and performing arts as tools for non-formal education. 4. To provide participants with tools to design, conduct and evaluate new activities aimed at young people. 5. To improve the quality and quantity of youth work within the organisations involved in the partnership and in the contexts in which they operate. 6. To increase the visibility and dissemination of the results achieved.
