The UNMASK project aims to strengthen European youth work by creating safe, inclusive, and diversity-respecting mobility spaces. Starting from the awareness that discrimination, micro-aggressions, and isolation still persist within non-formal learning paths, the project seeks to provide youth workers with concrete tools to recognize and prevent discriminatory dynamics, develop care and safety protocols, and promote practices of intersectional inclusion. Through artistic, narrative, and creative methodologies, UNMASK highlights emotional and relational skills—often overlooked—as an integral part of Youthpass and youth training. Among the expected outputs is a clear and specific guide on building safer spaces and methodologies adaptable to marginalized contexts. In this way, the project will contribute to innovating and consolidating youth work practices that place safety, well-being, and active participation at the center.
