Objectives

By implementing the “Digital and Innovative Smart Youth Work: Training for the Future Youth Workers” project, we will aim to enhance the digital competencies, innovation capacity, and adaptability of youth workers in response to the rapidly evolving digital world. We will prepare youth workers to effectively engage with young people using modern tools, methods, and approaches that will be essential in shaping inclusive, future-ready youth work practices. This project will not only improve the individual capacities of participants but will also foster a more innovative and resilient youth work sector across Europe. The main objectives, from the perspective of youth work practice, will be as follows: To strengthen the digital competencies of youth workers. We will provide youth workers with the skills and knowledge they will need to confidently use digital tools and platforms in their daily youth work. Participants will learn how to incorporate technology into their educational activities, communicate effectively with young people online, and develop digital content. As a result, youth work practices will become more accessible, flexible, and in tune with the communication styles of today's digital-native youth. To promote the integration of innovative and smart approaches into youth work. The project will introduce participants to creative and emerging trends in digital youth work such as gamification, virtual facilitation, digital storytelling, and artificial intelligence. Youth workers will explore how these tools can be adapted to non-formal education settings, helping them design more engaging and impactful programs. This objective will support the development of forward-thinking practices that respond to the needs of young people in a digital society. To foster the resilience and adaptability of youth workers in a changing world. By focusing on digital transformation and innovative practices, the project will empower youth workers to adapt to unexpected changes, such as those caused by global crises or technological shifts. We will equip them with the ability to continue their work remotely, implement blended learning, and adjust quickly to new challenges. This will ensure continuity and quality in youth work regardless of external conditions. To encourage cross-sectoral collaboration and knowledge exchange among youth workers. The project will bring together youth workers from diverse backgrounds, countries, and experiences. Through workshops, peer-learning sessions, and group work, they will share best practices, tools, and methodologies. This will foster a culture of cooperation and learning in the youth work field and will result in the creation of new partnerships and initiatives after the training course ends. To increase the quality and visibility of youth work at local and European levels. By equipping youth workers with new digital skills and innovative methods, they will be able to deliver higher-quality programs that attract and engage more young people. Furthermore, participants will be encouraged to disseminate what they learned and apply it in their local communities, raising awareness about the evolving role of youth work in a digital era.
