Through this project, we aim to strengthen Emotional Intelligence (EI) and soft skills among youth workers so that they can better support young people in educational and social contexts. By doing so, we want to contribute to creating healthier, more collaborative, and more inclusive environments for youth, where individual talents and intelligences are recognized and valued. The project seeks to fill the current gap in youth work practice, where emotional and relational competences are often overlooked compared to logical-mathematical or technical skills, despite being central to the well-being and success of young people. Ultimately, we want to equip youth workers with practical tools, methods, and best practices that help them: - nurture soft skills in young people, - promote self-esteem and identity-building, - foster resilience, empathy, and collaboration. The objectives of CARE are multiple: 1) Develop youth workers’ competences in Emotional Intelligence (EI), providing training and experiential learning opportunities for youth workers to recognize, understand, and manage emotions and helping them acquire practical methods to support young people in managing stress, conflicts, and relationships. 2) Promote Multiple Intelligences (MI) awareness in youth work,by developing and testing tools and methods that allow youth workers to identify and support diverse forms of intelligence among young people, especially beyond the logical-mathematical focus of traditional education. 3) Create and share practical tools and best practices: co-develop replicable modules with participants, based on real needs and experiences, adapted across different cultural and educational contexts in Europe. 4) Foster collaboration and intercultural exchange: create opportunities for youth workers from different European countries to exchange perspectives, methods, and approaches to EI.
