Objectives

The project was born from a growing challenge faced by youth workers: how to deal with the emotions that young people experience when confronted with war, climate crisis and structural inequalities. Very often, emotions such as fear, anxiety, frustration or a sense of powerlessness become invisible barriers to participation, feeding apathy and disconnection from democratic life. Through this training, we want to provide youth workers with concrete tools to recognise these emotions, to give them space and meaning, and to transform them into resilience and agency. The objectives of the project are both educational and practical. On the one hand, it aims to integrate the emotional dimension into youth work, offering youth workers the capacity to guide young people through complex feelings rather than ignoring them. On the other hand, it seeks to connect these emotions to broader structures of inequality, promoting an intersectional reading of global crises. By combining artistic expression, creative storytelling, theatre-based methods, outdoor learning and gamification, participants will be encouraged to translate fragility into collective strength. The production of a digital Toolkit and a “Manifesto of Play” will ensure that the learning outcomes are not confined to the training, but can be used by youth workers across Europe.
