Objectives

“Tell me about it” aims at providing youth workers with competences to guide young people coming from disadvantaged backgrounds to share their stories through comicity, and specifically through comic writing and stand-up comedy. The project Tell me about it proposes the achievement of the following objectives: O1. The training of 21 youth workers living in 7 international countries on the adoption of comicity integrated with nonformal educational methods, with a specific focus on comic writing and stand-up comedy, as a tool to support young people coming from backgrounds of disadvantage and isolation to share their experiences and stories to their international peers. O2. The production of an online Comedy Toolbox for Youth Work on the integration of comicity in nonformal education, realised thanks to the combination of the experiences of the partner organisations of the project and of the individuality of the youth workers involved. O3. The organisation of 7 local activities, 1 per local community where the youth workers live and partner organisatios are located, dedicated to the involvement of young people coming from disadvantaged and isolated backgrounds and their guidance to share their stories to local peers through comicity (and specifically, through comic writing and stand-up comedy). At least 8 local youth will be involved in each local community for a total of at least 56 local youth involved. O4. The promotion of 1 online video to sensitise young people at international level, experiencing situations of social exclusion and isolation, to share their stories and experiences, and to sensitise youth workers, educators and caregivers to support the sharing of these stories. The video will present the stories of the youth workers participating in the project, and therefore residing in 7 different countries.
