Objectives

We are a partnership of 6 NGOs (Coconut Italy, Fundacja 108, Idryma Ergodotisis Ekpedefsis Neoleas (IEEN), En Root Association, Maricuir, Asociația Culturală Atelierul European de Artă (AEA)) that work with young people who face struggles that go unnoticed or unaddressed. Young people often experience limited access to resources such as education, extracurricular activities because of financial hardships. Young people face discrimination based on their social background, ethnicity, which often isolates them from their peers and society. Young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, who face rejection or bullying from peers, family, simply for being true to themselves. The aim of this training course is to equip 24 youth workers from our organizations with the competencies needed to engage young people with fewer opportunities, assess their needs, design and implement educational programs, and follow up on them effectively. We want to reach 4 objectives in this project: 1. Enhance the knowledge of 24 youth workers on the stages of engaging youth, including caring needs assessments, designing and implementing educational programs for vulnerable groups, and understanding their barriers. 2. Help develop the skills of youth workers to engage with young people facing fewer opportunities, in a way that is tailored to specific needs, fosters trust and encourages growth, using non-formal education methods. 3. Develop a positive, open-minded attitude in youth workers, encouraging inclusivity, acceptance, and understanding to support young people from diverse backgrounds. 4. Increase the number of young people with fewer opportunities our NGOs are engaging (+15 - 20 more beneficiaries in the year after the project).
