The aim of ARTivists is to empower young people to take an active role in democratic life through creative expression. The project seeks to foster youth participation in democracy using artistic methods such as theatre, music, visual arts, and digital media, which help participants explore values and civic responsibilities. It raises awareness of rights and democratic institutions, showing how youth can influence decisions at local, national, and European levels. It creates platforms where young people’s voices reach policymakers and communities through artistic outputs and public showcases. It also promotes intercultural dialogue and solidarity, bringing together participants from Italy, Greece, Latvia, and Serbia to build mutual understanding and a stronger European identity. These objectives ensure that young people, including those with fewer opportunities, gain confidence, competences, and recognition as active citizens and creative advocates for democracy.
