INSULink was born from the awareness that sustainable and lasting change comes from young people, their skills, their ability to listen to the needs of their peers, channel these needs, and structure them into concrete proposals to be presented to policy makers and various stakeholders. Our goal is to coordinate this learning process by transferring skills, strengthening networks, and taking active measures, placing young people at the center of every stage of the process. Our objectives can therefore be summarized as youth empowerment that guides participants in acquiring skills and awareness, enabling them to work as a network, present concrete proposals to policy makers, and thus implement actions to meet the needs of young people with Type 1 diabetes and the community.
