The Move to Improve project aims to support young people’s mental health, social inclusion, and active participation through sport-based non-formal education, intercultural exchange, and volunteering. From a youth work perspective, our main objectives are to: 1. Strengthen Youth Mental Health and Emotional Resilience Through structured physical activities, creative workshops, and open dialogue, we aim to improve young people’s psychological well-being, reduce anxiety and loneliness, and equip them with coping strategies that promote emotional balance and stress management. 2. Promote Social Inclusion and Diversity Awareness By mixing participants from different cultural, social, and economic backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities, the project fosters inclusive teamwork, empathy, and mutual respect. Youth workers will facilitate inclusive group dynamics and challenge stereotypes through experiential learning. 3. Empower Young People Through Active Participation and Volunteering The project highlights the value of community engagement and volunteering. Participants will explore how small acts of involvement can create change in their local communities, while building skills like initiative, responsibility, and civic-mindedness. 4. Develop Key Competences Through Non-Formal Learning Using interactive methods such as role play, world café, simulation games, and outdoor challenges, the project strengthens participants’ soft skills: communication, cooperation, critical thinking, and intercultural competence—core to effective youth work.
