Objectives

Through the project, we want to empower young people from Lithuania, Poland, and Türkiye to explore cultural heritage as a tool for strengthening identity, solidarity, and intercultural dialogue. The project will address contemporary challenges that threaten heritage – such as war, disinformation, and cultural polarization – and motivate youth to take an active role in protecting cultural values. Objectives from the perspective of youth work practice To provide young people with their first international non-formal learning experience through Erasmus+, increasing their confidence, motivation, and sense of belonging to Europe. To foster intercultural dialogue by engaging young people in interactive workshops, cultural exploration, and peer-led activities. To develop key competences – communication, facilitation, teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, and digital literacy – through experiential learning methods. To encourage young people to reflect on their own national heritage and discover similarities with other cultures, especially in the context of Polish–Lithuanian shared history and Türkiye’s rich traditions. To promote resilience against disinformation and raise awareness of how global conflicts impact cultural heritage. To motivate participants to become active citizens and “heritage ambassadors” in their local communities, sharing knowledge and experiences with peers after the exchange.
