Objectives

By implementing this project, we aim to strengthen young people’s involvement in volunteering and active citizenship, showing that these activities are not only about helping the community but also a real opportunity for personal and professional growth. We want participants to understand that volunteering helps to develop a wide range of competences – communication, teamwork, leadership, creativity – which are highly valued both in the labor market and in community life. Through this project, we want young people from different countries to experience how non-formal education, creative activities, sports, and community initiatives can be powerful tools to combat social exclusion, build self-confidence, and create a sense of belonging. Our goal is to give participants hands-on experience that volunteering can become a long-term habit and serve as a bridge to their personal, academic, or professional future. From the perspective of youth work practice, we want participants to: -gain new knowledge about volunteering opportunities and its benefits; -improve skills needed for active participation in society (cooperation, critical thinking, problem-solving, intercultural dialogue); -develop attitudes related to solidarity, responsibility, empathy, and respect for diversity; -experience that their contribution matters, both in the local and international context. Our ultimate aim is that this project not only equips participants with new competences but also inspires them to become active citizens who, upon returning to their communities, will take the initiative to create positive change.
