Objectives

The Sportify project aims to empower youth workers with innovative tools - particularly traditional sports and Virtual Reality (VR) - to improve inclusion, engagement, and mental well-being in their daily work with young people. It responds to needs identified in our previous KA210 projects (Virtual Leap and I Spot Sport) and aims to scale up their methods. By blending ethnosport and immersive digital tools, the project fosters new non-formal education (NFE) practices that are accessible, culturally rooted, and engaging. Specific objectives include strengthening youth workers’ competencies in using VR and sport for educational and social purposes, promoting intercultural understanding through traditional games, and encouraging cross-sector collaboration. The project also focuses on sustaining and disseminating results from past projects while supporting the long-term professional development of youth workers. Ultimately, Sportify contributes to developing a more inclusive and modern youth work field aligned with the EU Youth Strategy.
