The project Youth Detectives: Fighting Fake News aims to empower young people aged 14–17 to critically analyse information, strengthen their media literacy, and take an active role in democratic life. By creating Media Detective Clubs in Lithuania, Turkey and Slovenia, organising local dialogue events and an international youth camp, we will build young people’s skills in critical thinking, teamwork, and civic participation. The objectives are to increase resilience against misinformation, involve youth with fewer opportunities in meaningful participation, and connect them with teachers, journalists, and decision-makers. Through creative campaigns, a youth-written Guidebook, and peer-led dissemination, we ensure that young people are not only participants but active creators of solutions at local, national and European level.
