With “Europawee,” we aim to give young people from Luxembourg, Poland, and Germany the opportunity to meet, reflect on the development of Europe and the EU based on the experiences of the Second World War, and actively engage with human rights, democracy, and European values. Through visits to memorial sites, exchanges with European institutions, and joint discussions of current challenges, participants gain a deeper understanding of their role as active European citizens. A key objective is participatory involvement: already during the preparatory phase, the young people contribute their topics and questions via digital platforms, which they further develop in workshops and creative sessions during the exchange week. This approach fosters critical thinking, intercultural dialogue, and historical-political reflection, enabling an active connection between Europe’s past, present, and future.
