Inclusion of marginalised young peopleQuality and innovation of youth work

Objectives

There are still significant challenges in the field of youth work: activities are often organized in a traditional way and do not attract young people, especially those who are less active or face limitations. As a result, youth centers are rarely visited, participation in community activities is low, and youth workers themselves often lack the knowledge and methodologies needed to effectively engage young people. Youth workers also lack sufficient knowledge about Erasmus+ project programs that support youth initiatives in international projects. The sector is characterized by high staff turnover, and newcomers are often not adequately prepared for working with young people. This project will address these needs by strengthening the professional competences of youth workers and providing them with knowledge, practical tools, and good practice examples in an international context. This will make activities more attractive and accessible to young people, especially those who are less active or have fewer opportunities, thereby improving their motivation and participation in local and international activities, including Erasmus+ programs. Thus, by implementing this project, we aim to improve the prospects of youth work in two ways: on the one hand, by fostering the professional development and strengthening the competences of youth workers, and on the other hand, by proactively creating more attractive, engaging, and accessible opportunities for young people to participate. The goal of the project is to improve the quality of youth work by providing youth workers with knowledge, practical tools, and international examples of good practice, enabling them to proactively motivate and involve young people—especially the less active and those with fewer opportunities—in local and international activities, including Erasmus+ programs, thereby also increasing the overall effectiveness of youth work.
