Ecopreneurship appears as a symbol of hope and creativity in this situation. It means starting businesses that not only aim for profit but also solve environmental problems. This idea is important for promoting sustainable development and finding a balance between making money and protecting our planet. The concept of the project is based on 2 main ideas: Making sustainability and caring for the environment a priority in business. Giving young people the tools and support to create businesses that contribute to the green economy. Our project, “Generation of Green Innovation” is designed to inspire and equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to become green entrepreneurs. By combining environmental care with business skills, we aim to help participants build future businesses that are both profitable and good for the planet. When developing our project, we started by asking "why"—why is this project necessary for young people, and why are we doing it? Through informal talks with 12 young people, discussions with our partners from Romania, Spain, Italy, and Türkiye, and observations within our organization, we found many important needs: ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES: Ongoing environmental damage needs new solutions and sustainable business practices; YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DIFFICULTIES: many young people have few job opportunities, leading to economic struggles; There's a gap in education and resources for youth to engage in sustainable business practices; LACK OF ECO-ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Few programs combine environmental education with entrepreneurship; Young people need hands-on experience to develop eco-friendly business models; NEED FOR MORE AWARENESS AND PARTICIPATION: Communities often don't understand sustainable practices; Young people are not involved enough in environmental decision-making; This project is not just about raising awareness on environmental issues; it's about creating a future where economic growth and environmental protection go together. The main aim of “Generation of Green Innovation” is to empower young people to become future community leaders and innovators who can design and implement effective business solutions for local and global environmental challenges through eco-entrepreneurship. We aim to inspire participants to think creatively and entrepreneurially about solving environmental problems, develop a sense of responsibility, and become capable of starting positive change in their communities and beyond. The objectives of this project include: - Raise awareness among participants and organizations about eco-entrepreneurship and its key elements, exploring the balance between economic activities and environmental sustainability. - Introduce key elements of entrepreneurship, focused on environmental issues to support innovative problem-solving. Participants will develop at least one eco-business concept by the end of the project. - Ensure participants can explain the circular economy and identify ways to apply it in business. - Present successful examples and case studies of eco-entrepreneurship to inspire participants and implement a field visit - Improve skills like leadership, teamwork, and planning among participants - Promote inclusion by involving participants from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities - Motivate participants to share lessons learned with peers and empower them to find creative solutions to environmental problems in their communities and countries - Provide opportunities for participants to build new partnerships and work on ideas for minimum 2 future projects that could be carried out with Erasmus+ support.
