Reaching the policy level/dialogue with decision makers

Objectives

The project aims to empower young people to take an active role in shaping their communities by creating a Youth Friendly Towns Charter. Coordinated by 12 Venture Scouts with the support of leaders and a youth worker, the project will bring together Scout Groups across Malta to share experiences, map challenges, and co-design solutions for more inclusive and youth-centred towns. Local councils and youth-sector decision makers will be involved to ensure the proposals are realistic and have a pathway to implementation. The objectives are to strengthen youth leadership, civic participation, and non-formal education, while fostering collaboration between young people and decision makers. This project also marks the 30th Anniversary of the Pembroke Scout Group and represents the group’s first step into Erasmus+, making it a milestone initiative that combines local impact with European values of participation, inclusivity, and democratic engagement.
