Objectives

By implementing this project we want to achieve that youth workers become confident and well prepared to deal with digital realities. They will gain knowledge about how artificial intelligence and deepfakes work, what risks and opportunities they bring, and how they can affect trust, relationships and democracy. We want youth workers to understand not only the technical side but also the ethical questions, so they can guide young people to use these tools in a safe and responsible way. One of our objectives is to build the capacity of youth workers to understand and reflect on how new technologies influence trust, relationships and democratic life. When they are able to understand and explain these processes, they can bring these reflections into their workshops and activities with young people, making discussions more meaningful and closer to their real experiences. Another objective is to provide youth workers with creative non-formal learning methods that they can apply immediately. Through activities such as role plays, storytelling, debates, creative writing and simulations, participants will learn by doing and then adapt these approaches for their own youth groups. The project also aims to create resources that are practical and sustainable. A toolkit will be developed during the training, including workshops designed by participants as well as ethical guidelines for responsible use of artificial intelligence in youth work. This toolkit will stay available for youth workers and organizations after the project and can be adapted to many different contexts, multiplying its impact. These objectives mean that participants will not only increase their knowledge but will also gain concrete skills and ready-to-use resources. They will be able to apply what they learned directly with young people, and organisations will integrate the results into their programmes. In this way, the benefits of the project will continue long after the training, supporting youth workers in their daily work and making youth work more creative, relevant and sustainable.
