Objectives

The overall aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to create inclusive, innovative and intercultural youth work practices by equipping them with new competences, methods and confidence. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project has the following specific objectives: 1. Build competences in inclusive youth work Enable youth workers to better reach and engage young people with fewer opportunities, especially those with migrant and refugee backgrounds. Equip participants with practical strategies to overcome barriers of cultural differences, language and limited participation. 2. Expand the methodological repertoire of youth workers Introduce and practice art-based non-formal methods (theatre, dance, music, improvisation) as tools for community-building, empathy and intercultural dialogue. Ensure that youth workers can integrate these methods into their daily workshops, making youth work more engaging and accessible. 3. Strengthen project management and leadership competences Train youth workers in the essentials of Erasmus+ project design, risk management and facilitation, so that they can take active roles in developing and implementing international youth projects. Increase participants’ confidence to act as leaders and facilitators in youth exchanges and community activities. 4. Foster intercultural learning and European identity Create opportunities for youth workers from different cultural and geographical backgrounds (Europe and Overseas Countries & Territories) to share experiences and practices. Encourage reflection on common European values, solidarity and democratic participation, connecting local youth work to the wider European dimension. 5. Support organisational and community impact Ensure that youth workers transfer their competences to colleagues through follow-up workshops and integration into organisational programmes. Strengthen the capacity of partner organisations to run high-quality, inclusive Erasmus+ projects. Use community events and dissemination activities to raise awareness of Erasmus+ and the importance of inclusion at local and regional level. Expected achievements in practice At least 20 youth workers from 4 partner countries will develop concrete competences in inclusive youth work, artistic methods and project management. At least 80 young people in local communities will benefit from follow-up activities led by trained youth workers. A digital manual of methods will be produced and shared online, benefiting youth workers beyond the consortium. Partner organisations will integrate at least two new methods into their daily practice, ensuring sustainability. Conclusion By implementing this project, we aim to create youth work practice that is more inclusive, creative, intercultural and professionalised. The objectives are designed not only to develop individual competences but also to transform organisational practices and strengthen youth work in local communities and across Europe.
