“Intercultural Learning through Creative Writing: Power of the Stories” aims to enhance the quality and inclusiveness of youth work by equipping youth workers with innovative, creative methods to foster intercultural dialogue and self-expression among young people, especially those with fewer opportunities. In today’s increasingly diverse and digital societies, youth workers face growing challenges in supporting young people to navigate identity, cultural differences, and social inclusion. This project responds to these challenges by introducing creative writing as a powerful, non-formal educational tool that enables young people to reflect on their experiences, develop empathy, and challenge stereotypes through storytelling. Objectives (Youth Work Perspective) Strengthen the competencies of youth workers in using creative writing methods to support young people’s personal, social, and cultural development. Empower youth workers to foster intercultural competencies by facilitating inclusive, reflective, and expressive spaces through storytelling. Provide practical tools and activities that youth workers can integrate into their daily practice, particularly when working with disadvantaged or underrepresented youth. Encourage critical thinking and civic engagement among young people by using writing to explore themes of identity, discrimination, and social justice. Support the creation of a co-developed Creative Writing Toolkit to ensure transferability and sustainability of the methods used during the project.
