Queer Youth in Sports:-Participate, Empower, Advocate, Compete & Engage (Q-Youth PEACE) is a multilateral European project which will improve experiences for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) young people in and through sport, and improve the quality of practice in the intersection between LGBTIQ+ equality, youth work, and sport and physical activity practices. The project will aim towards the following objectives: O1 - Build competences of youth workers in using sport and physical activity as inclusive tools for working with queer youth. O2 - Provide mobility and exchange opportunities for youth workers to learn from peers across Europe and share inclusive practices. O3 - Develop practical approaches that youth workers can take back to their organisations to better support queer youth participation in sport. O4 - Raise awareness and visibility of the positive role that sport can play in empowering queer young people. O5 - Strengthen European cooperation among youth organisations committed to inclusion, diversity, and equality through sport.
