The SDG Ambassador project aims to train 280 young people aged 15-21 from South Netherlands into active SDG ambassadors who continuously contribute to global citizenship education and societal participation. The primary goal is to strengthen youth participation by bringing young people directly into dialogue with fourteen specialists, enabling them to experience that their voice genuinely influences policy. A second core objective is developing intercultural competencies through contact with international guests. Dutch youth will learn different global perspectives on SDG challenges and develop empathy and global citizenship. The project strives for sustainable behavioral change where this year's participants become next year's Global Youth members. Each participant will realize concrete ambassador activities, reaching thousands of other young people beyond the project's direct participants.
