Objectives

We want to implement our project, entitled ‘Hate - IT HURTS!’, because we have noticed a growing problem of cyberbullying, hate speech and conflicts among young people, especially after the pandemic. Our charges themselves drew attention to this problem and expressed the need to address it. This shows that the issue is real and important to them and requires joint action. The project aims not only to increase knowledge about cyber hate, cyberbullying and other online threats, but also to develop attitudes of empathy, solidarity and the ability to respond to and support those affected by violence. Thanks to the youth exchange, participants will be able to get to know each other better, learn to work in a group, break down stereotypes and build an intercultural community. The project will enable the development of social, linguistic and digital skills, as well as raise awareness of how to use the Internet responsibly. This will be particularly important for young people from smaller towns and disadvantaged backgrounds, who will gain self-esteem and the opportunity to experience international cooperation through their participation in the project. The project's objectives are in line with the Erasmus+ programme's goals: equalising educational opportunities, supporting equality and social justice, and promoting attitudes based on respect and shared responsibility. We want the exchange to be not just a one-off event, but also the beginning of lasting change – young people will prepare a social campaign, video spots and a choreographed dance routine, which can also be used after the project has ended. Thanks to this, the results of our activities will have a long-term impact in the local community and online, reaching peers, parents, teachers and the wider community.
