Objectives

We want to implement the "Into the Wild" project because we see an urgent need to support young people in building ecological awareness, developing interpersonal skills, and managing stress in today’s challenging world. Our experience working with youth shows that many young individuals struggle with forming relationships, expressing emotions, and making responsible decisions about their environment. This project addresses these challenges by combining non-formal education with adventure-based learning methodology, creating unique conditions for personal and social development. The primary goal of the project is to create a space where young people can acquire practical skills such as teamwork, stress and time management, and deepen their knowledge about environmental protection. An essential aspect is also promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering reflection on the value of local cultural heritage. Participants will have the opportunity to experience direct contact with nature during a one-day hike in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, which will allow them to disconnect from digital stimuli and focus on interpersonal relationships and their surrounding environment. Such experiences are invaluable in building lasting habits and pro-environmental attitudes. An additional goal of the project is to develop a sense of responsibility among participants for a shared future through reflection on their contribution to environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable development. We also want participants to understand the value of cultural heritage as part of their identity and motivation for actions that benefit the common good. Within the framework of the project, we will also support them in discovering their potential for intercultural collaboration, which will foster the creation of more open and tolerant communities. Our aim is not only to educate youth in an ecological context but also to create a platform for exchanging experiences among different nationalities, enriching their worldview and helping them develop key social competencies. The "Into the Wild" project addresses the contemporary needs of young people and is a step towards building more engaged, responsible, and aware citizens.
