From a youth work perspective, the project's main objective is to empower young people by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to transform their passion for the human-animal bond into a viable professional path. 1. Professional Development and Career Pathways in AAS This project aims to give young people the tools to grow professionally within the Animal Assisted Services field. Inspire Career Exploration: We will provide participants with a clear perspective on the diverse career paths available in AAS. By meeting various experts (practitioners, trainers, researchers), young people will be inspired to consider professional opportunities they may not have known existed and receive support for their questions and challenges. Build Practical Experience: The project will offer practical experience with high-quality AAS through study visits, providing a solid foundation for participants to build their own future projects and skills. 2. Development of Key Competences Participants will also develop a range of soft skills that are crucial for the modern labor market, both within and beyond the AAS sector. Confidence and Communication: The project will build participants' self-confidence in an international environment and improve their practical communication skills in a foreign language (English). Critical Thinking: Participants will learn how to verify information and seek out valid sources of knowledge, a crucial skill for their professional and personal lives. Networking: The activities are designed to help participants build a lasting professional network of experienced peers and mentors. Personal and Professional Planning: Using tools like The Vanguard's Compass, participants will learn how to set clear goals and create a concrete action plan for their own development, with a clear vision of how to get there.
