The main goal of the project is to support young people in building their own path towards health, understood as mental, social, and physical well-being, and to develop their competences through non-formal education, international cooperation, and learning by experience. At a time when youth face challenges such as stress, sedentary lifestyles, mental health crises, social isolation, fast-paced living, climate change, and uncertainty about the future, we want to create a space where they can develop resilience, soft and social skills, as well as a sense of agency and belonging through non-formal learning about health prevention. From the perspective of youth work, the project aims not only to provide knowledge about health prevention, but above all to strengthen participants in a holistic way, supporting their personal, emotional, relational, and civic development. By taking part in the project, young people will have the opportunity to acquire skills useful in everyday life and future social engagement - such as communication, teamwork, self-awareness, emotional regulation, decision-making, planning actions, and conflict resolution. The objectives of the project were developed based on prior consultations with young people in our local communities, as well as in relation to the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme in the field of youth. The project directly supports horizontal goals such as promoting health and well-being, social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, digitalisation, civic participation, and sustainable development. In line with the programme’s principles, we want not only to focus on specific skills, but also to strengthen active European citizenship, solidarity, and intercultural dialogue. The specific objectives of the project include: - developing young people’s competences in the area of health and mental and physical well-being (health, prevention, healthy lifestyle habits, relaxation, physical activity, nutrition, sleep, mindfulness), - increasing social awareness (empathy, cooperation, non-violent communication, teamwork), - building mental resilience, stress management, and preventing burnout among young people, - promoting a healthy lifestyle as a way of counteracting exclusion and isolation, - developing soft skills that directly impact participants’ educational and professional opportunities, - supporting the integration of young people from different backgrounds and countries in the spirit of openness, respect, and equality, - inspiring civic engagement and local actions after the project, - raising awareness of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme and encouraging further participation in mobilities. Through participation in the project, young people will gain a real space for growth, where their needs, ideas, and voices will be taken seriously. Working with non-formal methods, based on partnership, cooperation, and experiential learning, will allow them not only to gain knowledge but, above all, to transform that knowledge into concrete attitudes, actions, and competences that will stay with them long after the exchange ends. The project also responds to the needs of youth organisations that want to improve the quality of their work, implement good practices, strengthen international cooperation, and support youth in a systemic, interdisciplinary, and long-term way. We want the project to become not just a single event, but an impulse for further action, both for the participants and for the communities they come from.
