The project Be Active - Be Healthy was created in response to the real challenges we observe in our daily work with young people. More and more young people are struggling with reduced mental well-being, lack of physical activity, and a sense of social isolation. At the same time, awareness of neurodiversity and differences in cognitive functioning is growing, yet there is still a lack of practical tools that help young people cope with these challenges. Our goal is to create a safe, open, and supportive space where young people, especially those with fewer opportunities who face health and social barriers, can develop their competences through movement, cooperation, and contact with nature. The project will show that physical activity is not only about taking care of the body but also a way to improve concentration, regulate emotions, build self-confidence, and strengthen social bonds. Through international exchange, young people from different countries will meet to learn together through experience, workshops, and outdoor activities. Participants will develop social, intercultural, and civic skills, learn to cooperate in diverse groups, and discover how a healthy lifestyle and care for the environment can go hand in hand. The project will also help them gain a deeper understanding of European values such as solidarity, equality, and respect for diversity. Be Active - Be Healthy is a project that connects youth well-being with the priorities of Erasmus+. It strengthens participants’ personal and social competences, supports the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, and promotes an ecological approach to life. In this way, it contributes to building a more aware, active, and inclusive community of young people in Europe.
