Objectives

By implementing the “Digital Detox” project, we want to equip ourselves and our peers from five countries with the tools, experiences, and competences needed to regain balance in a world overloaded with technology. Our aim is to create a space that allows participants to disconnect from screens, restore their energy, and discover that offline life can be a source of joy, meaning, and inner harmony. The foundation of the program will be yoga and mindfulness techniques, which foster awareness, strengthen the connection with the body, and help rebuild emotional balance. These will be complemented by physical activities and time spent in nature, supporting both mental and physical health while creating a natural environment for disconnection from the digital world. Nine days without phones and social media will not be just a temporary “reset,” but a starting point for building lasting habits that enable conscious use of technology and long-term well-being. The main objectives of the project are: 1. To create a nine-day space free from phones and social media, where 45 participants will fully experience offline life, focusing on face-to-face relationships, shared activities, and building mindfulness. 2. To increase the awareness of 45 participants about the impact of technology and social media on mental and physical health. 3. To equip 45 participants with practical tools, such as yoga, mindfulness techniques, breathing and relaxation exercises, that will help them reduce stress, regain concentration, strengthen resilience, and build balance in everyday life. 4. To provide 45 participants with the experience of active time spent in nature, through outdoor activities, sports, and group actions in natural surroundings that support physical health, promote regeneration, and facilitate disconnection from screens. 5. To strengthen the self-confidence and sense of agency of 45 participants in shaping their own digital habits and lifestyle. 6. To develop key personal and social competences of 45 participants, mindful communication, teamwork, self-awareness, and the ability to set boundaries in the use of technology. 7. To create an international, safe space where 45 participants can share experiences, reflect on their digital habits, and motivate each other toward lasting changes. 8. To promote the balance between online and offline life as a key element of long-term well-being and mental health prevention for 45 participants. 9. To develop organizational and facilitation skills of 45 participants through their active involvement in planning and implementing project activities. 10. To strengthen intercultural communication and international cooperation skills of 45 participants, enabling them to work effectively in diverse teams and build relationships based on openness and mutual understanding. 11. To increase the capacity of the five partner organizations to address mental health and digital balance in youth work and to prepare them to initiate and implement similar projects in the future.
