We want to strengthen youth work practice in Human Rights Education (HRE), Intercultural Learning (ICL) and democratic participation by training youth workers to use an immersive, long-term role-play simulation method. Through a 7-day training in Dobczyce, Poland, 24 youth workers from 8 countries will learn to design, facilitate and debrief complex learning experiences that build empathy, critical thinking and active citizenship among young people. Our objectives are to: develop youth workers’ competences (ETS model) in facilitation, programme design, intercultural communication, inclusion and ethical/safe practice; co-create and test at least five transferable workshops within the simulation, then publish an open-access Toolkit and facilitation pack; strengthen digital youth work by using simple tools for documentation, storytelling and dissemination; ensure inclusiveness by adapting methods for youth with fewer opportunities (e.g. migrant, Roma, rural, NEET); transfer learning to local practice: each participant delivers at least two follow-up workshops; promote EU values (dignity, equality, human rights) through experiential methods and structured reflection. Expected results in practice: 24 trained youth workers, ≥48 local workshops reaching ≥300 young people, 8 multiplier events, and an open Toolkit that enables other organisations to adopt the method. This ensures quality, innovation and lasting impact in everyday youth work.
