The education of youth workers in communication and social competencies is crucial not only for their own professional development but also for the mental well-being of young people. In our analysis, we have identified several factors that can be improved through the workshop program for youth workers that we have developed. By educating professionals working with young people, we aim to enhance their ability to support and improve youth functioning. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), skills such as decision-making, problem-solving, effective communication, creative thinking, and stress management are key in preventing depression among young people. WHO data indicates that up to 20% of young people experience symptoms of depression. The workshops we have designed will equip educators with tools to help youth develop stress management, conflict resolution, effective communication, and assertiveness skills, contributing to their overall mental well-being. At the same time, this workshop cycle will allow youth workers not only to better support young people but also to develop their own social skills, which can benefit them in their daily professional and personal lives.
