We want to implement the Comic Change project because in youth work across Europe we see a growing need for new, creative educational methods that help young people express their emotions, opinions, and identity. Traditional tools are often not engaging enough and do not reach all groups, especially those with fewer opportunities. Comics and visual storytelling are universal languages that cross linguistic barriers and allow open discussions on key topics such as democracy, equality, diversity, ecology, and human rights. The aim of the project is to develop the competences of youth workers by learning how to use comics and storytelling in non-formal education. Participants will gain practical skills in creating visual tools that they can apply in their daily work. The project also seeks to enhance key competences – creativity, intercultural communication, teamwork, and digital skills – and to strengthen civic engagement among young people through the joint creation of comics and a fanzine.
