Why Do We Want to Implement This Project? What Is Our Motivation? We want to implement the IN-4-EM project (“Inclusion for Employability”) because, bluntly, traditional methods are no longer enough to help our young people find their place in the labour market. At the Education, Health, Development Foundation (FEZR) we work with young people for whom finding a job is a struggle—individuals with disabilities (beneficiaries of our Vocational Activity Establishment – ZAZ) and youth who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET). Despite our best efforts, we acutely lack modern know-how. We currently face two major barriers: 1. Lack of hard, market-ready competences: We are not fully prepared to teach green and digital skills—the key to the jobs of the future. We also lack knowledge of how to effectively support entrepreneurship in the context of obtaining EU funds and developing Business Plans. 2. Exclusion remains too strong: We need innovative, grassroots methods to overcome the passivity of NEET youth and to embed full social inclusion and equal treatment already at the career counselling stage. We want our staff to truly know how to reduce these barriers. IN-4-EM is our investment in the future of these young people. We aim to create a new, comprehensive working model—a bridge that will lead them from the Foundation straight to stable, dignified employment. We need to learn from the best in Europe. What Are the Specific Objectives of the Project? Our objectives are highly practical and aimed at immediately improving the quality of daily support provided to young beneficiaries. We divided them into two complementary pillars, implemented through job-shadowing mobilities: Pillar 1: Creating Market Value (Mobility in Greece – EUROPEAN PROGRESS) The goal here is to learn how to make a young person attractive to an employer. - Introducing market standards: We will acquire the ability to design training modules in digital and green skills—competences that are genuinely in demand. This means shifting from theory to practical usefulness. - Support for young entrepreneurs: Our counsellors will be able to reliably assist in creating realistic Business Plans and will understand the mechanisms for securing EU grants. This will give young people a solid foundation for starting their own businesses. Pillar 2: Deep Inclusion and Activation (Mobility in Croatia – ESN Dubrovnik) The goal here is to make our approach to diverse and excluded youth more effective and sensitive. - Our specialists will learn innovative, grassroots methods of reaching and motivating young people by working with multicultural, international groups, which will help youth workers break through feelings of hopelessness and passivity. - Standard of Inclusion and Equality: We will implement full equal-opportunity principles at every stage of counselling. We will learn how to apply personalised approaches and how to effectively promote social entrepreneurship, creating stable jobs for excluded groups (e.g., within ZAZ). - Our Most Important Goal: The Standard from ZAZ to Employment The ultimate, overarching goal is to create a Four-Element Support Standard (known as the “Standard from Barrier Recognition to Employer”), which will become a pillar of the Foundation’s work. This tool will ensure that every young person follows a standardised yet individually tailored pathway with us, culminating in sustained contact with an employer or the establishment of a viable business. Thanks to this project, the FEZR Foundation will transform from a good counsellor into a leader of innovative, European-level vocational activation and social inclusion.
