The All aBoard Association’s mission is to bring sports practice to everyone, regardless of gender, age, social background, or economic or physical ability. After all, sports practice is a right for all, enshrined in the Portuguese Republic. However, access to sport and physical activity for people with disabilities is not universal and still faces many barriers. Therefore, by promoting the diversity of adapted sports, we can break down stereotypes and foster a more inclusive society. It is also possible to build bridges between communities. Sport can unite people from all walks of life, enabling us to build bridges between different communities and promote understanding and acceptance. Moreover, sport provides a safe space for self-expression and helps develop skills such as confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, among others. The “Play ToGather” exchange was thus created with the aim of promoting sport for all, using adapted disciplines as a means of raising awareness and consciousness, but also as a way of fostering the values of inclusion, diversity, fair play, ethics, and human rights. Therefore, the project’s objectives are: ● Promote the practice of adapted sports; ● Raise awareness of adapted sports and their theoretical and practical components; ● Provide opportunities for people with disabilities to practice adapted sports; ● Raise public awareness of different types of issues, such as: physical disabilities and impairments, the types of disabilities that exist and their subdivisions, adapted sports, their rules and differences, etc.; ● Promote issues related to social inclusion and human rights; ● Discuss and find solutions to the challenges that adapted sports face in various European countries; ● Increase the visibility of the Erasmus+ programme.
