Our association, Jograis Audazes, participated in an activity held near Barcelona in October of 2024. The theme was the CES and volunteering for peace. During this activity, we made several contacts and aligned a strategy that, we believe, can help to improve the quality of volunteering projects and the relationship between partners in the so-called Mediterranean area. Jograis Audazes took on the responsibility of preparing an application for an activity that would enable the creation/strengthening of practices that contribute to the development and evolution of organizations and methods of working with and for young people, for the preparation, implementation/management and monitoring of international mobility projects with a greater emphasis on CES volunteering projects. To be even more specific, we thought that it could be an activity that would improve the relationship between entities in the European area and their counterparts in North Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans. The aim of this application is to create a point of commitment between entities that are genuinely interested in raising the bar in terms of quality, reliability, project development processes and implementation conditions and plans. By drawing up a "letter of commitment" among those present, to be signed by everyone and supervised by the network, we want to increase and improve the opportunities. The main objective of this project is to enable non-profit organisations and young people from both regions (member countries of the programme and partner countries) to participate in the European programmes, Erasmus+ CES, in new short- and long-term mobility and transnational volunteering projects (from 2 weeks to 12 months), carried out and hosted by non-profit organisations and carried out by young people of both sexes, thus promoting intercultural exchange, dialogue, learning and cooperation between NGOs based in countries on both sides of the Mediterranean.
