Objectives

Through Hands on Resilience, we aim to reconnect young people with nature by embedding eco-construction and natural building at the heart of youth work practice. Our objective is to strengthen innovative, participant-centred eco-education that empowers youth and youth workers to engage in regenerative lifestyles and practices. By working with natural materials and collaborative building methods, participants will not only gain practical skills but also develop new ways of relating—to themselves, to communities, and to ecosystems. This process fosters resilience, creativity, and ecological responsibility, offering youth workers concrete tools to guide young people in the green transition. Specifically, the project seeks to: - Equip participants with practical skills in eco-construction and regenerative design that can be applied in community contexts. - Strengthen youth workers’ facilitation competences, enabling them to lead inclusive, hands-on eco-learning processes. - Promote intercultural learning and collective living as pathways to resilience and community building. - Empower young people to take leadership in climate action and regeneration, aligning with the EU Green Deal and SDGs. - Contribute to youth work innovation by developing models of learning that integrate ecological practices, creativity, and social inclusion. In essence, the project uses natural building as both method and metaphor: a way to cultivate relationships, restore ecosystems, and empower youth to co-create regenerative futures.
