The VisEU+ Jovem project aims to empower young people for active civic participation, promoting dialogue with policymakers and inclusive, digital democratic engagement. Its main goals are: (1) to strengthen knowledge of youth participation; (2) to create structured dialogue spaces with decision-makers; (3) to use digital tools for civic involvement; (4) to promote inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities; and (5) to develop transversal skills through non-formal education. Young people will be actively involved in all project phases, from design to evaluation. The project will be implemented with the Municipality of Viseu and local stakeholders. To ensure sustainability, a Local Youth Council will be created with municipal support. The project aligns with the EU Youth Strategy and Erasmus+ priorities, contributing to youth empowerment and democratic engagement with potential for replication in other EU communities.
