The project strengthens European and democratic awareness within the EU. Its aim is to provide young people with genuine opportunities to participate in European politics by addressing issues relevant to their lives. Through empowerment, awareness-raising and skills development, they gain greater decision-making capacity and the ability to take transformative action. Debates on the priorities of the EU Youth Dialogue will generate results that can feed into European policymaking. In this way, the project contributes to the implementation of Article 165 TFEU while reflecting the needs and aspirations of young people. A wide range of non-formal learning activities will foster soft skills and sustainable learning outcomes. This will make young people and society more resilient to crises, exclusion and anti-democratic tendencies. The session of the Model European Parliament marks the 40th anniversary of Portugal’s EU membership while connecting Portuguese youth with the EU and their youth.
