Objectives

The project uses photography as a universal and accessible tool to strengthen youth empowerement, and teach inclusion so young people can become active, critical, and creative citizens. By implementing this project, we want to achieve both immediate learning outcomes for participants and long-term improvements in the way youth work responds to the challenges of the digital era. Our main objectives focus on the following To enhance digital and media literacy among young people, directly equipping them with the ability to critically analyze photography, interpret and understand its messages. Youngsters will transform from passive consumers to active creators themselves. Youngsters in turn will learn how to use creative expression as a tool for self-expression. Photography will become this tool for elf-expression, storytelling, and civic engagement, enabling young people to address social issues in ways that are accessible and impactful. This will ensure that young participants, such as ones with fewer opportunities gain qual access to creative tools and are empowered to share their perspectives through non-formal education. Armed with these tools, they will be used to foster intercultural dialogue, promote active citizenship and social responsibility. By working together, in mixed groups throughout the youth exchange, with the ultimate end of a joint photo exhibition, participants will learn to value cultural differences and shared European values. With newfound knowledge and follow-up events, participants will become multipliers by disseminating their learning and experiences back into their local communities through workshops, presentations, and online content.
