Objectives

"I AM RESPONSIBLE!" is a project that challenges 45 young people from five countries to become the change they want to see in their communities. The project helps young participants realize the importance of getting involved and taking responsibility for the sustainability of personal, community, and social development in their living environment. Young people learn that responsibility means power: the power to participate, create, and transform their future and that of Europe. The project helps young people find their voice, believe in themselves, and build a more responsible world together. "I AM RESPONSIBLE!" is a youth mobility project for 45 young people from Romania, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, and North Macedonia, with a duration of 12 months and a total budget of €58,606.00. The project supports young participants in becoming more aware of their role and the impact they can have in their personal lives and in the community." “I AM RESPONSIBLE!” empowers 45 young people from Romania, Greece, Türkiye, Serbia and North Macedonia to take responsibility for their personal, social and civic development. Through 23 non-formal learning sessions, intercultural cooperation and strong inclusion measures (25 participants with fewer opportunities), the project develops civic, digital, creative and intercultural competences. With clear objectives, measurable outcomes and active youth involvement in dissemination, the project ensures real impact on participants, partner organisations and their local communities, while contributing directly to the EU Youth Goals. The aim of the project is to raise awareness among 45 young people from five countries about taking responsibility for civic participation and social involvement through non-formal education, intercultural cooperation, and the development of key skills, contributing to the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and the consolidation of European values. The SMART objectives of the project are: 1. Developing civic and social skills for 45 young participants from five countries. By the end of the project, at least 80% of them will have improved these skills through involvement in non-formal learning activities related to European values, democracy, diversity, and inclusion. 2. Improving digital skills and critical thinking for 45 young participants from five countries. By the end of the mobility, at least 80% of the young participants will have improved these skills by participating in practical non-formal digital education activities. 3. Stimulating creativity and personal initiative for 45 young participants from five countries. At least 80% of participants will feel an improvement in this area by the end of the exchange as a result of their involvement in digital content creation activities and team projects. 4. Increasing tolerance, respect for diversity, and the ability to communicate in a multicultural context for 45 young participants from five countries as a result of their participation in project activities for 12 months. All young participants (100%) will report an increase in tolerance and respect for cultural/multicultural diversity. 5. Development, expansion, and consolidation of international partnerships for five partner organizations during the 12 months of project implementation. The project responds to real and current needs identified among young people in the five partner countries through a comprehensive, planned, and structured process that included individual and group discussions with young people, consultations with partner organizations, and questionnaires. These needs are: 1. The need for civic responsibility and social involvement: young people have low civic participation and feel that their actions do not matter. 2. The need for digital skills and critical thinking: young people need skills to combat fake news and create responsible online content. 3. The need for creativity and personal initiative: young people want to take action, but they lack the framework, resources, and confidence to succeed. 4. The need for tolerance, respect for diversity, and intercultural communication: cultural, ethnic, and religious tensions persist in partner communities. Young people, especially those with limited opportunities, need experiences of diversity that give them the chance to cooperate and learn in a multicultural setting. 5. The need to develop, expand, and strengthen international partnerships for the five partner organizations in Romania, Greece, Turkey, Serbia, and North Macedonia.
