Objectives

Through the project “Atomic habits for a Balanced Life”, we aim to create a non-formal learning framework where young people can discover their inner resources, develop healthy habits, and experiment with concrete ways of living a more balanced life. We believe that change begins with small steps and that every conscious choice can bring significant transformations in everyday life.A first objective is the development of mindfulness and self-awareness skills. By the end of the project, at least 80% of participants will have learned and applied conscious breathing exercises, short guided meditations, and daily journaling techniques. These tools will help them reduce stress levels, improve concentration, and bring more clarity to their daily activities. The second objective focuses on recognizing and managing emotions. By the end of the project, at least 75% of participants will demonstrate the ability to identify their own emotions and apply techniques of assertive communication and self-reflection in their daily interactions. Through role-play and group activities, young people will learn to express emotions in a healthy way and develop empathy, thereby strengthening both personal and intercultural relationships.Another objective aims at reducing impulsive shopping and encouraging responsible consumption. By the end of the mobility, at least 70% of participants will have created a personal plan for conscious shopping. This will include methods such as planning purchases, applying the “pause of 5” rule before making acquisitions, and exploring second-hand product platforms. In addition, participants will be encouraged to adopt practices of reuse and recycling in order to reduce waste and save resources. An important objective is also the promotion of mental health and personal balance. Throughout the project, each participant will be supported to identify at least two healthy habits, whether a more regular sleep routine, outdoor physical exercise, or balanced meals, that they can maintain after the activities end. Through interactive workshops, young people will discover how such simple changes can improve their quality of life and overall well-being. The project also has an essential intercultural dimension: creating a non-formal learning space among young people from Turkey, Spain, Poland, and Romania. By the end of the mobility, at least 80% of participants will demonstrate strengthened intercultural competences and a more open attitude towards diversity. By working in mixed teams and exchanging perspectives on mental health and consumption, young people will learn to appreciate cultural differences and turn them into opportunities for collaboration.Last but not least, the project aims to increase green competences and environmental responsibility. By the end of the activities, each participant will adopt at least one simple ecological practice, creative recycling, reducing plastic consumption, or using alternative means of transport. In this way, young people will understand the link between personal well-being and the health of the planet, and will discover that green habits can be easily integrated into daily life. The results of these objectives will be measured through self-assessment questionnaires, reflection journals, and practical activities carried out during the project. Furthermore, participants will be encouraged to become multipliers of change, sharing what they have learned with their families, peers, and communities.Through this project, we want to show young people that change begins with small gestures a deep breath, a meal enjoyed in silence, a postponed purchase, or a reused object. By the end of the experience, each of them will have practiced at least one conscious choice that can become the seed of a more balanced, healthier, and more harmonious life, both for themselves and for the community and environment they live in.
