By implementing this project, we aim to address a real need identified among young people with disabilities and those coming from disadvantaged backgrounds: the lack of self-confidence and the difficulty of imagining an independent life. In our youth work practice, we have observed that many of them, including those from DGASPC or rural areas, face social, educational, and economic barriers that limit their personal and social development. This situation leads to dependence on family or institutions, social withdrawal, and reduced chances of active integration into the community. The project seeks to provide young people with a safe and inclusive environment where they can learn through non-formal methods, discover their own resources, and develop essential competences for independent living. Through workshops, role plays, intercultural activities, and collective reflection, we want to increase their courage to act, strengthen their social skills, and support them in becoming models of inclusion within their communities. At the same time, the project represents an opportunity for the partner organizations to improve their practices in working with vulnerable youth and to strengthen international partnerships based on shared values. The objectives of the project are the following: O1. Increasing self-confidence through participation in non-formal education activities and practicing real-life situations of independent living among the target group of young people throughout the project. O2. Developing social skills (communication, cooperation, teamwork) among the target group of young people during the entire project. O3. Promoting social inclusion about people with disabilities and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, both among the target group of young people and within the community, throughout the project.
