Objectives

This project aims to strengthen the professional capacities of youth workers by equipping them with psychology-based and NLP-inspired tools to enhance communication, leadership, and engagement with young people. Through a training course grounded in non-formal education and experiential learning, the project seeks to address real and recurring challenges faced in youth work: difficulties in establishing rapport, lack of motivation among young people, emotional disengagement, burnout, and limited access to reflective or feedback-based tools. The specific objectives of the project are: To improve youth workers' ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, increasing their capacity to be understood by young people and to motivate them effectively; To enhance emotional intelligence and self-awareness in youth workers, enabling them to better manage group dynamics and provide individual support; To provide practical tools and methods for building rapport, offering feedback, and facilitating group cohesion using NLP techniques such as anchoring, parts integration, and sensory acuity; To encourage the development of new workshops and mentoring pathways within partner organisations, contributing to the sustainability of youth work practices; To increase the resilience and wellbeing of youth workers by introducing techniques that can reduce burnout and improve work-life balance; To stimulate the creation of an international peer-learning community where youth workers can continue exchanging practices and resources after the course ends. These objectives directly align with the goals of KA153 by promoting the professional development of youth workers, strengthening the quality of youth work, and fostering innovation and cooperation across Europe. Long-term, the course will be adapted for use with other target groups, including youth, adults, and educators. AsterX Association also plans to apply for Erasmus+ accreditation and to develop follow-up KA2 strategic partnerships that explore how NLP, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking can be introduced in engaging ways to diverse groups across the EU.
