Objectives

The aim of this project is to develop the competences of 25 youth workers from 5 European NGOs, to equip them with the knowledge, tools, and methodologies needed to engage young people in learning about democracy, political participation, EU values, and resilience against disinformation and extremism. We want to reach 4 objectives over the 10 months of this project: 1. By the end of the project, 25 youth workers will have a solid understanding of EU democratic values, key concepts related to media literacy, disinformation, and active citizenship, enabling them to confidently engage young people in these topics. 2. Participants will acquire at least 5 new non-formal education methods for fostering critical thinking, democratic engagement, and media literacy, and they will apply these methods with at least 100 young people by the end of the project. 3. Participants will enhance their ability to facilitate discussions, workshops, and interactive activities on democracy, political participation, and resisting propaganda using diverse educational approaches (formal, non-formal, and experiential learning). 4. The five partner NGOs will become more active in their local communities after the mobility, organising regular open workshops on topics like active citizenship, EU values, and critical engagement with political life.
