Objectives

By implementing the project "No Borders, Just Stories!" we aim to respond to concrete needs identified among youth workers, young people and communities, contributing to the development of a non-formal educational practice centered on inclusion, intercultural dialogue and the promotion of equality. The main objective is to create a safe, creative and participatory framework where participants are not only beneficiaries, but co-creators of experiences and solutions to combat discrimination, stereotypes and racism. From a youth work perspective, the project aims to develop the practical skills of youth workers to enable them to address diversity and social challenges in a constructive way. They will be trained in the use of theater of the oppressed and storytelling as non-formal education methods, experiencing techniques that can later be replicated in their work with young people. Through workshops, simulations and guided reflection, youth workers will acquire concrete tools for facilitating intercultural dialogue, promoting empathy and stimulating critical thinking, thus increasing the quality and impact of their daily work. For young people, the project offers safe and creative spaces where they can explore identity, express emotions and share life experiences without fear of judgment or exclusion. Participatory activities, such as intercultural performances and storytelling workshops, stimulate active involvement, responsibility and a sense of belonging, contributing to the development of social and intercultural skills of the participants. At the same time, at least 30% of the participants will come from groups with fewer opportunities (social, economic or cultural barriers), ensuring the inclusion and diversity of the team. From the perspective of the communities, the project generates initiatives and experiences that promote solidarity, mutual respect and intercultural dialogue. The resulting performances and activities will be disseminated locally and internationally, creating replicable models of non-formal educational intervention and providing communities with tools to prevent exclusion and promote social cohesion. Project objectives are clearly defined and measurable (SMART). Thus, by the end of the mobility, 25 youth workers from Romania, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey will be trained in the use of theater of the oppressed and storytelling through practical workshops and reflection sessions. During the 6 days of activities, at least 90% of the participants will develop intercultural competences (empathetic communication, active listening, critical thinking, cooperation in diversity), measured by self-assessments and Youthpass. Five intercultural performances will be created, one by each national group, in which the participants become actors and creators of their own stories, promoting inclusion and messages of solidarity. 3 months after the mobility, an international network of organizations and youth workers from the five partner countries will be strengthened, developing and implementing at least 2 joint initiatives to promote equality, diversity and human rights through art and non-formal education. Throughout the project, participatory activities, intercultural evenings and group reflections will stimulate social inclusion and active participation of young people. By achieving these goals, "No Borders, Just Stories!" becomes a transformative experience where participants learn to use creative methods for inclusion, acquire essential skills for youth work practice and become promoters of intercultural dialogue and equality in their communities. The project not only trains but inspires and strengthens a generation of youth workers capable of creating innovative educational programs and supporting young people in their personal and social development, contributing to the cohesion and resilience of local and transnational communities.
