The YouthUP project addresses a clear need in Snagov: young people are not sufficiently involved in community life, they lack knowledge about active citizenship, their rights and responsibilities, and they have limited opportunities for dialogue with local authorities. Moreover, critical thinking skills are underdeveloped in a context influenced by fake news. The project’s main goal is to stimulate the active and informed participation of 150 young people. Objectives: O1 – increase civic competences and critical thinking through 5 workshops; O2 – engage 120 young people in community life through 3 hackathons and 3 pilot mini-projects; O3 – strengthen dialogue with authorities and raise visibility through 2 structured dialogue meetings and the “YouthUP Voice” campaign. The project will include a 5-day training, workshops, hackathons, mini-projects, and public campaigns. Results aim to develop transferable skills, increase youth visibility, and strengthen civic culture in the long term.
